St. Cecilia Receives Catholic Foundation Grant
St. Cecilia has received a $50,000 grant which will be used to make repairs to the school roof, as well as much needed repairs/replacement of the rectory roof surfaces. Special thanks to SCS parent, Mrs. Rosa Fleming-Stevenson, for her assistance in the grant-writing process. We are excited for our entire St. Cecilia community!

New Flags
St. Cecilia’s flagpole was repaired and the school received new flags today, thanks to a generous group of donors.
Playground/Mary Cliff Clean-Up
St. Jude’s Toolbox Ministry (Allen) came out on August 3 to tackle beautifying the front of our campus, while parents and other SCS volunteers put in nearly 100 hours of service into laying mulch, trimming bushes and trees, and preparing the playground for students’ arrival.
Middle School Mural Complete
John Dudasko, Cistercian Preparatory Class of 2015, designed and completed a mural this week for the MS stairwell. John will now head to Austin to work on a mural at Facebook. Thank you, Mr. Dudasko!
New Athletic Director
Mr. Eduardo Mendoza will serve as Athletic Director, starting in the 2019-2020 school year. Mr. Mendoza has served as a coach at St. Cecilia for many years. Congratulations, Mr. Mendoza!
St. Cecilia Hires New Music Teacher
Ms. Marie Smith will join the faculty for the 2019-202 0 school year. Ms. Smith is excited to work on choral and orchestral opportunities for the MIddle School. She comes to St. Cecilia most recently from St. Paul the Apostle in Richardson, and has experience leading choirs at Notre Dame. Welcome, Ms. Smith!
